First and foremost, Bad Wolf Chess Club is a place for all members to come to learn, practice and enjoy the game of chess. It is a place for people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and skill to come together over-the-board.
For Fall 2026, Bad Wolf Chess Club will meet for a 10-week session, starting September 17 and ending on November 19. Each Thursday Meeting will start at 5pm and end at 6pm. Payment plans and scholarships are available upon request.
Bad Wolf Chess Club is also a United States Chess Federation (USCF) Affiliate Club. As a USCF Affiliate Chess Club, Bad Wolf Chess Club offers discounts for NEW USCF Memberships and RENEWAL USCF Memberships. If you plan to participate in official USCF sanctioned events and tournaments, you will need a USCF Membership.

Are you a beginner or intermediate player looking to improve your chess knowledge and skill? Bad Wolf Chess is offering 10-week lessons for beginners and intermediate players. Monday classes are located in Middletown, DE. Tuesday Classes are located in Bear, DE.
Live and in-person lessons are conducted in a small group format to allow players the opportunity to learn together without distraction of a large group.

Chess League
Fall 2026

Thursday, 6-8pm
Bad Wolf Chess is starting a Thursday night chess league. Chess teams of 5 individuals will play as a team against other teams. Chess teams will play 2 unrated matches each week. Time Control: G30. Prizes for the top teams will be given at the end of the season and will depend upon the number of people who sign up to participate.
Individuals and teams less than 5 may register to compete. Additional members will be added at random to fill out teams of 5.
If you join both the club and the league, you could have 3 hours of chess each Thursday. Multi-program discounts are available.
